Power

In the past we've had Alice the Watermelon (SUMAs big green bus) to provide solar power, we've run coffee grinders with car batteries, and made several attempts to erect a wind turbine in the middle of a forest. For fuel, we rely on the hard work of decomposed plant and animal matter refined into a highly combustible substance that we burn.

This year we’re revamping the bicycle-powered generator to create lights for the Kitchen. Our solar system is growing as well, powering Centre Camp and Om Radio. Solar path and KYBO lights are in our future!

Spark our interest

Let's generate some new ideas. Share your electrical experience and join our team. How about solar panels you could lend to the cause? We're open to collaboration. Connect with us at energy@solsticegathering.ca.
